2006 Miata Dies immediately after Starting after engine replacement
Hey Everyone,
Not too long ago I replaced my 2006 miatas blown motor (threw a rod) with a used one i bought from some guy on craigslist.
Anyways, i replaced the motor, and i have TRIPLE checked all the connectors are plugged in, the fuel pump is good, etc... and it wont stay running!
What is does is turn over, start, but it dies immediately after. (Ill take a video of it once i get home)
Towed it to my uncles house, and had him look it over as well. After looking at the wiring schematics, He tried jumping the starter, fuel pump, etc. to no avail. He recommends i sell it as is because he cannot find the problem.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything else i should try? Im getting ready to sell it as is but i really want to fix it and enjoy the car. I was only able to drive for a couple months! Any help is appreciated.
To sum it up:
*changed engine
*using ECU that came originally with the car(not with new motor)
*starts, but dies immediately after car fires up
*no immobilizer light flashing *no OBD codes being stored
also maybe worth mentioning, not all AC lines are connected yet, I read somewhere that if this is not hooked up the car will not run, does anybody know if this is true?
Thanks for your help!
