I'm sure this has been covered before, but I'm new to this car...

How in the world do you replace a fog lamp on the 2000 model?

I cannot find any repair manuals for this car, I have the fog light from mazda, but I'll be darned if I can see how to take the old one out and put the new one in...

Also is it possible to replace the lamp unit, or does one have to replace the whole fog light when it goes out??

I believe that Planet Miata sells a pair for about $120.00, but the untis list for more than that each at Mazda. It been awhile since I've been under there, but the unit comes out with two or three small bolts, you may have to take the front splash gueard off to get access. Once out there is a heavy rubber boot that covers the back of the bulb housing that snaps over it. The lens can be removed from the front by taking out two screws.
