Thumbs down Vibrant advertising pop-ups

Is it just me are these effing advertising pop-ups getting more and more pervasive? I mean geez they're really starting to P-I-S-S - M-E - O-F-F; so much so in fact that they seriously detract from the experience of contributing to this site.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the need to advertise so that the bills can be paid, but come on, this is a bit over the top. As a suggestion, how about offering a Premium Membership of some sort that disables these things; I for one would gladly contribute something to say "Bye-bye" to these things permanently.

Update...

I'm kinda answering my own question here; by installing Ad Muncher (http://www.admuncher.com), one can eliminate those freaking "mouse-over" pop-ups pretty much no matter where you go in the internet.

Yet another update (not to by confused with "yacc" for you Unix/Linux types)...

I just downloaded Ad Muncher and geez, I think I'm in love; how did I go so long without this wonderful little program?

Question pop up central?

Is it just me or are there many pop ups when viewing pictures on here? O.K. that didn't sound right...but anyways I was viewing some garages and my page was hijacked by ads/pop ups!

I don't get them on my laptop, but see a lot when I'm on the desktop??
Must be some add-on or setting that allows that content. It is a PITA though, I agree.
