Read the information that you posted.! . Mazda has always covered the drivetrain under the normal warranty for a new vehcle and what they simply did was extend the WARRANTY specifically for an exact and explained possible concern regarding engines listed in the VIN as such. And there are qualifications that the owners must meet to get completely covered.

It had NOTHING whatsoever to do with Toyota?

Really I wish more would read things completely and understand everything before assuming and posting?

 

BTW we ( the shop I work at) or I should say as an authorized warranty service Automotive Technician received this last month and already had my attorney review it to see if under my contract with MAZDA would be able to do this WARRATY service under their terms should any of our customers may have that concerned regarding their engines.

 

I confirmed with my dealer that my CX-9 has the extended warranty. There is also a warranty extension for fuel system issue which I don't recall the details of.

That means that your Mazda falls in the VIN category of "possible" effected unites) and that you have your service information in VIN history.

You would be surprised how many do not keep up on their required service work and then get denied Warraty based on not doing it and bad mouthing the dealers and or the auto manufacture.

I constantly inform members on various platform related platforms that if you have a concern of any kind and still under warranty go to a dealer and get it on VIN history from the service department.
