Default Voice Recognition and Navigation

Since it is impossible to input a new destination into the navigation system manually while driving, is it possible to do so using the voice recognition system? I know it will show me "nearest" gas, mall, restaurant, etc., but can I ask it to find an address?

When I ask (using voice recognition) for my nav. system to show me the nearest gas station, how do I get it to show me more than one? Is it even possible.

Thanks!

The voice recognition system can be used to show Points of Interest (POI) on the screen. If you ask for gas stations you'll be able to see what is nearby. Zooming out will show you all the ones nearby.

You cannot verbally give it street address locations.

When you see the POI you want, you can select that location and then select it as your destination and the system will route to it. This functionality is not obvious, but it does work.
