Default Roof Rails/Crossbars Installation Time/Cost

Hi all,

I recently purchased the roof rails and crossbars for my 2019 CX-9. I loathe going to the stealership to get them installed but I'm short on time and tools. I was told that the install would take about two hours, amounting to around $200 in labor. I didn't know if anyone else had done the same and paid less/more? Wasn't sure if it actually took that long to install or if I should look elsewhere. Just wanted to take it to a place that seemed like they know what they're doing - and considering they're the only Mazda dealership in my area it just made sense to look there first.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone reasonably handy with tools can install the two roof bars in less than an hour. Find a local high school kid who likes to work on his car.
Tips:
--Open the package, read the directions, look at the bars and the end pieces. On the end pieces you'll see letters that indicate the positions...RF (right front), etc. Point these out to whoever bolts them on. The round edge of the bar is the forward edge. The thin tapered edge of the bar is the back edge.
--The included wrench is klutzy, but it gets the job done. It just takes a few minutes more than a toolbox full of tools.
--Cut the front panel out of a cardboard cereal box or anything similar. Place this on the painted roof when each end is installed to keep the tool from possibly scratching the paint.

The job is easy, just really clumsy. It'll go fine.
