Mazda vs Toyota Reliability
Does anyone know of a site where I can compare the CX9 and The Toyota Highlander overall reliability? I am undecided between the 2021 HL XSE and the CX9 GT. I have read many complaints about the CX9 (minor and major), but not so much about the Highlander. I would like to see a authentic, non biased report. I realize all automobiles have their unique problems, but I am interested in long term reliability if I am going to spend $50K on a vehicle. Thanks.
There are no numerous or out of the ordinary amount of TSB for either vehicle. Like anything in the way of consumer products you will likely find more reported negatives then positives. More people like to bitch vs applaud any particular product . I would say just keep reading what ever is available and in the end you will need to decide what is useful non bias information and what is nothing but some people that have nothing better to do then whine . Naturally I am for the the MAZDA . Why because we see less of them coming into the shop for service then Toyota 's. And that in itself means nothing because maybe there are more Toyotas in my area then MAZDA's? lol
Good Luck!
Good Luck!
Thanks for your cogent input. One would think that someone or some organization could provide the essential comparisons, void of biased prattle by consumers, for whatever reasons. G'Day.
Thanks. I didn't think of that site. Minimal data, but the 2020 Mazda has 1 complaint to the 2020 HL 11 complaints. Good to know. I think that I shall get the CX9, based on aesthetics and better driving aspects.
I would also look for consumer reports reviews of the two. You can also check out the Consumer Reports podcast Talking Cars and the one by Motorweek. They both often mention the CX-9 and recommend it frequently. I don’t get the magazine but do follow the podcasts.
