I have cx9 2011 with a 176k miles on it. At half tank of gasoline I travelled 200miles. Is that still ok?

 

1--how many gallons in your half tank? (How many miles per gallon do you get?)
2--what is your cost of fuel per mile?
3--what would it cost you to get a different car with lower fuel consumption?
4--what would be the new cost of fuel per mile in the new car including your cost of car payments?

I know, there are many factors to consider when getting a different car...expected life of the car is only one (not a lot of expected remaining life in a car with 176k, and expensive repairs might be needed before long). Don't buy a new car to save gas. When you do get a new car, get a gas saver. If an all-electric car isn't in your immediate future, look closely at a hybrid, or better, plug-in hybrid where your charge the oversized battery at home then it runs 25 or 30 miles before the gasoline engine starts.
