CX9 won’t crank
Yesterday I went to start the car, but it wouldn't crank. I don't think it's the battery(headlights appear normal). I watched some video's on Youtube and some suggested fuses and the starter. But then I noticed this hose was disconnected. I connected it, but the car still won't crank. Any ideas on what might might be at play? Was that hose the initial cause, and lead to other issues?
I connected that hose, and also hit the starter a few times with the tire iron. The car started. Did that hose have anything to do with it starting, or was that mostly me hitting the starter?
If it is the starter, is it a big job to change it? I haven't found any video's for it.

Welcome to the forum.
Load test battery.
Check voltage at starter while assistant actuates starter button.
If battery load test good and voltage to starter, then remove starter and bench test or just replace it.
