Hi all, just picked-up my new maxda cx-9 2007, 68,000 km. Noticed that the fan was rather noisy even at the lowest speed. I remembered reading somewhere about the cabin air filters. being at the garage and having a mechanic working on my car, i decided to buy the filter (50$) for a small ....It is located right behind the glove compartiment accessible after removing the rear panel of the glove box. He removed the old filter and i was astonished to see how blocked this thing was (surely never changed for over 3 yrs). My fan is now very quite with lots of air supply, it was choking before that. Worth the whole 50$. another syptom to know if its blocked is always having dust on the dashboard. Just thought i would share this with you cx-9 owners.
