Thanks for the input. There seems to be misunderstanding of my goal, as there are multiple comments about modifying the seat. But it's the proximity of the center console to my leg that's the issue.

Sadly, I think the chances of me having leg issues and the console modification not being effective enough, are going to steer me away from the CX-9. It's too expensive a chance to take.
