2014 Mazda 6 Center Console
Didn't know if anyone else have experienced the same problem, but my center console flip-up arm rest cover (don't know technical name) broke from it's base hinges, so it doesn't sit, or operate correctly. The dealership said it isn't covered under warranty, and would cost $160 plus labor! Doesn't look like it would be too hard to fix, yet I could see it being hard to get the hinges pinned back in. Anyone have any experience with this??

So a quick update. The center console arm rest can be easily fixed. The problem arises when the metal pins back up of the connection in the center console. This problem is now known by mazda dealerships, and can be covered free of charge if still covered. Mine wasn't because I exceeded the miles, but it took just a few minutes to fix. Just flip the arm rest all the way up, and pull it out gently. Then, gently pull off the back cover of the armrest by putting your hand in the top and pulling it off. It comes off easily. Next, line up the armrest, with the center console, and push the pins back through, holding the armrest. At this point, a tab a super glue or something can be used to keep the pins from backing out again. Next, push back on the back cover, and your done.
