09 mazda cx 9 touring has a new alternator and good battery and freshly cleaned grounds and connections. But still acting strange. Alternator not charging, battery dying fast and dash lights intermittently on and off and car will die. Weve tried everything checked all connections to battery and alternator cleaned and greased everything concerning them. Were at a loss what to check. Suggestions? Ideas? Tips?

 

Most modern Mazda's have the alternator controlled by the ECU/PCM. I'm not 100% sure on the older CX-9s. I recommend scanning for fault codes

 

that stuff should still be covered under warranty if you got the extended warranty or is under 36k miles (in the U.S.)
