2016 cx9 brake noise

2016 cx9 brake noise
So I got a complete brake job on my 2016 CX-9 and the car sounds like an electric car (jetsons) when I brake now. Used aftermarket semi-metallic pads. Brakes work fine but the noise is a mystery. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is it due to not using oem pads? (they wear out way too fast). Help.

I lived in Santa Cruz for 12 year and often went diving in Monterey Bay.
Take it back to whom or the shop that installed the brakes parts and have them check it out.
It also does not appear from your response that anyone bed the new brake pads in ?
The description of semi-metallic is vague, you would need to give the brand and model as well the brand and type of rotor used on the chosen pads.
