Default Brakes

My brake pads seem to be wearing as well. I have 14000 on the car and have already had the tires balanced and rotated. But you can still hear the grinding noise. A buddy of mine told me to get ceramic pads and not the non-metallic. but my local autozone looked it up and the no one carries the ceramic brake pad for the mazda 6 only non-metallic. i hoping maybe if you guys would no if that is true and if i can get some ceramic brake pads let me know where.

Default RE: Brakes

Are you hearing a grind noise like brake pads worn into the metal backing or a high pitched squeal/scraping noise that happens even without brake appplied. There was a very common problem with the older 6 front pad hardware getting out of place and touching the brake rotor. Can oftentimes even be seen by looking for a wear/rub mark on the rotor surface.
