I recently purchased a 2016 cx9 and quickly discovered what a joke the fog lights are.. Has anyone successfully upgraded their fog lights using the original housing? My understanding is the lights are a sealed unit and you can't replace the bulb alone. Has anyone done this though? Cracked open the fog lights and put a brighter bulb in? Or installed a different fog light unit so they are actually useful?

 

The real purpose of so-called fog lights is to illuminate the right edge of the road to help the drive stay on the road in fog. Our's barely do that. If you find a fix, great.
