Spark advance and O2S B1 S1 readings
Hey all...still chasing this crazy surging/bucking issue. I've been driving around with the scan tool hooked up and in live data trying to find something. Not really sure what I'm looking at, so I'm looking for advice and knowledge. Under driving conditions the car will surge/buck at about 2000 rpms and keep it up until i let off the gas of floor it and it jumps high in rpm.
Live data gives readings that may actual be correct, but I'm just asking for expertise...
at idle after warm up...spark advance fluctuates between 0.5 - 12.0
under acceleration when surging/bucking starts....drops and fluctuates between -5.0 up to 24.0
Also, the O2s B1 S1 goes cracy with mA readings from -3 all the way up to 10.0
Any thoughts would be appreciated. thank you.

You are so correct. My apologies....

I have another post with that information in it that is somehow related to the bucking/surging.
I had someone ask me if I had looked into the throttle position sensor. I pulled it up on the interwebs and saw 2 different comments about it. One said that the TPS is in the black box attached to the throttle body and another said it was a small metal sensor with a pigtail on it that mounts on the drivers side under the intercooler. What gives?
