Default Replacing HID low beam to LED?

As we know the Mazda's loves to eat light bulbs. I am thinking of replacing my HID with LED. I see a lot of LED bulbs on eBay and Amazon. Many say they fit the CX-7. Has anyone converted over to LED? My concern is that the LED has a small fan on the back of the bulb for cooling and I am wondering how that small metal clip that hold the bulb in place will fit over that to secure the bulb.

I know this is an old thread but It's never been answered. Did you try it? Did you have any luck?

I know I'm probably breaking some sort of rule by actually responding to an unanswered question in this forum but I have an 09 Sport model and installed a set of Auxbeam LED's in mine and there was no issue getting them to fit because they have a built-in fan. Hope this helps.

I bought some LEDs off Amazon as well as the little plastic adapters and got them in. They seem to work well, although I haven't driven it at night yet.

Yes, you can definitely convert your Mazda CX-7's HID headlights to LED. There are many options available on eBay and Amazon, and most of them will fit your car perfectly. The only thing you need to be aware of is that some LED bulbs have a small fan on the back for cooling purposes. Make sure that the metal clip that holds the bulb in place can fit over the fan so that it is secure.
