Default Power window lock switch

So I recently bought an 09 CX7. Never owned a Mazda before. Is it normal that the master control to lock the power windows when pressed locks front passenger as well as the rear passengers?

On other cars I've owned the switch only stops the rear ones from being used with the rear buttons however the driver can always override when it is locked. However this is not the case.

The windows can only function again when the switch is turned off. Only the driver window will function normally when the button is pressed.

Some help would be appreciated

Cheers

Normal. I thought all cars were the same setup.

My previous car which was a Ford just locked the back windows only. And the driver could still operate them with them locked.
