Default Mazda 6 windows driving me crazy

First of all hi to everyone on this forum as you can see it's my first post. Apart from putting the car into a garage and getting ripped off I thought I'd find a forum that could possibly help me in a quest to fixing my window problems.

Before I posted I've done a lot of googling searches for a similar problem to mine but I've not really seen anyone with the same problem.

Got hold of a Mazda 6 TS from a family member it's been laying for about 6 months outside. Anyway it's taken me a number of weeks and £500 to get this car road legal again. But I've found a problem the electric windows on the driver side it's ok but all the other windows don't go down. I tried resetting but thats not worked. The buttons that operate the individual windows dont work and neither does the drivers control panel.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

And you tried resetting each individual window, not just from the driver's side? And made sure the window lock is not on? If yes, to both of those questions, have you checked the fuses?

If you've tried all of those, are you sure you don't have a loose wire in the master window switch? You could have a bad master window switch.

Piki thanks for the reply.

No I've not checked the fuses looking at the manual I can only see 1 30amp fuse. The driver window works so I ruled that out but I'll check it in the morning.

The only window lock I can see is at the driver window control panel and yes I've tried switching it off an on.

The master switch is the last thing I'll try as I need to removed the door panel.

Many thanks I've only been a Mazda driver for a day usually prefer european cars my last car was a 16 year old SAAB 900 had her for 5 years. Great motor

No problem- I would think master switch, because it seems odd the other three motors would just die at the same time. Sometimes it can be a grounding wire. Make sure you look in both fuse boxes (one on drivers side and in the engine near the battery), since I am not sure where that fuse is located.
