Losing oil in Cx-7 2.3 - first time poster
Hi all first time poster. I am stumped so wondering if any of you have run into this issue. 2010 Mazda cx-7 2.3 touring with the turbo 116k miles. Engine going through about a quart of oil 700-1000 miles. There are no leaks anywhere, all gaskets good and oil plug etc. I recently put in a new turbo since my mechanic said that is probably the cause, well 700 bucks later same issue. I just purchased a new pcv and will put that in soon to see if that is the issue. Compression tests show all eual pressure on all cylinders 140 psi. No oil on spark plugs and they are of tan color. I also do not get any blue smoke at start up or acceleration. I also checked the intake tube and there is no oil in it. Where is this oil going? Any ideas of what I should check or do next? Can it be the oil catch rings around the cylinder? Any chemicals I can use to unclogged? I am original owner and changed oil every 5 to 7500 k miles using Pennzoil ultra plat synthetic. This burning oil issue started around the 100k mile mark. No other car issues what so ever. No codes, no stuttering or poor acceleration etc.
Thank you a bunch!
