Does anyone know if this engine can be replaced with another motor.
Dealer is quoting $14k for a motor repair and may be more when they strip it.
Are there any other motors that could fit this car, Does not need to be a turbo.

 

Or does anyone know a reliable source for a replacement motor?

 

I'm seeing prices here in New England for used CX-7 motors ranging between about $3,000 and $4,500 USD on car-part.com. I don't know of this site has parts of its network which reaches north of the border; I suppose worst case you could come down south of the border and fetch an engine.
