I have a 05 Mazda6 3.0 M/T that has a blown motor. The motor is a little pricey and before I buy one i wanted to know if any of the ford or mpv 3.0 motors/blocks will work.

You will need to change some stuff like int manifold, front cover, valve covers & some other stuff.

thanks alot i really needed that info. I figured would have to convert some stuff just wanted to make sure the block and heads would work

 

No problem

 

With a blown engine, chances are your catalytic converters require changing. Some blown engines are due to catalytic failure and the pieces from it go back in to your engine via the EGR system (causing your engine failure).
Also check your rad, coolant and change thermostat. replace all steel coolant lines.
