Howdy folks, the driver side front bulb went out last night on my CX7, looking online they make changing out the bulb equivalent to splitting the atom. Is it really that difficult and how much should it realistically cost me to have someone else do it?

Some platform and model vehicles are a bit challenging especially for DIY. If you are asking about how to change it then you probably should have someone experienced do it. At least the first time and maybe they would let you watch so you can learn and do it next time? As for cost every shop and area minimum labor rates vary. So you need to find the labor cost yourself and then decide if it is worth having a service shop change the bulb or you to give it a try?

If its helpful it is .50 labor time hour labor (min. for basically anything simple) or 1/2-hour min.

 

To replace the headlight bulb in a CX-7 you access it by partially removing the plastic inner guard liner.
