Default 2010 Turbo issue

Hi All,

The Turbo on my 2010 Mazda CX7 Diesel doesn’t seem to be spooling. I’ve got no warning lights, no smoke and the car is driving fine although clearly down on power. Just wondering if anybody has a similar problem on the 2.2d engine. I’m hoping it’s something silly like a boost leak somewhere..

Regards

Matt

Quick update.. It was Scanned by Mazda today and they cannot see any codes. The think it’s a failed turbo and want to strip and replace. I’m not convinced as there is no smoke, smells etc etc

anybody had a similar experience..

Regards

Matt

Another update.

Wasn’t convinced with Mazdas diagnosis so got the car up on some stands and had a good poke and prod about myself.. after an hour I noticed a split in the boost air intake hose from the intercooler.. As a test I put some duct tape over the split And then took the car for a spin. Car started spooling up around 1600rpm and off she went.. New hose ordered and hopefully many more happy miles.
