Default CX-7 4wd System

Hi all.

New member here.

At the weekend I was talking to a friend, and we were discussing the 4wd systems on my CX-7, and his Audio Quattro. He informed me that he has an override button fitted to his car, which locks it into 4wd (50/50 split) which helps when off road.

Is there such an override that could be fitted to the CX-7?

Thanks.

There is no switch from factory. However I've always wondered if you could wire up a switch to energise the AWD clutch pack.

Whether or not the multiple computers/module would get upset and go into limp mode is the unknown.

Yeah, I know nothing is actually fitted, but I just thought it would be good if it could be. I'm sure it would be possible (anything is with enough time/money/skill).

There's only two wires going to the 4WD solenoid, I assume its Power & earth from the 4WD control module.

Its part of the clutch pack in front of the rear diff housing. #1 is the wiring loom.
