Bought a wonderful 2007 cx-7 for my niece as a project car. Needed a timing chain, I was told. Symptoms seemed like timing chain issue when I checked it out. Everything fixed and I get p0012. Worked on cam cap for clearance and we're good now. Same problem, p0012. Checked voltage at OCV 11.5. Voltage at battery 11.75. OCV, with ignition on, doesn't change position. I wire direct from battery to OCV and I moves instantly. Change OCV. Same situation. I have 11.5v at connector but wont initiate solenoid. I cut wire before connector and use clips. Still wont initiate valve. I did get the wiring just before the connector to ground out and blow a fuse on the engine to check ground though. Any help would be appreciated!
