Wheel well question
This is going to sound kind of blonde.. I have a 2017 grand touring... The inside of the front wheel wells are plastic. The inside of the rear ones are not. Those of you with a 2017 GT... What are the rear wheel wells?

They are made of a fibrous sound-deadening material that Mazda and several other Japanese makers have used in the rear for years. I've never been clear on why they don't use it on the front wells also, but I guess they have their reasons. They also use that material (or something very similar) on the under-body cladding on your 2017. Take a peek underneath next time you feel like getting your knees soiled and you'll see yards of it!

Thanks Paris! It looks odd. I had a RAV4 prior to this and I don't think it was like that. I was thinking that they forgot to put the plastic over top of it! It looked so odd.
Just cause I'm curious - what Mazda do you drive?
