Vehicle Inspection Required message on Mazda CX5 2015
Hello,
I am just hoping for some advice if possible. We have had the above warning light showing on the car now since around November 2024 time. My husband took the car for a diagnosis and they couldn't find a problem. The message did disappear for around a week in December 2024 but has come back again and has not cleared.
My husband has tried to take the car for a run in a lower gear to clear the PDF filter, but this has not cleared the message.
Is that the only message?
Does it say more than that and are there other messages as well?
There are many possible reasons for this generic warning message from minor to "catastrophic".
If your "shop" couldn't find the cause, then I would advise taking it to a different one that has a certified Mazda tech that can find it.
You should really find out what is wrong and not be driving it around until you do.

Hi,
Thank you for getting back to me. There are no other messages and shows no further details. I will attach a photograph.
The car has been on a long journey in January and doesn't seem to have had any problems but definitely need to get it sorted. Was just wondering if anyone had seen this message before and what the problem was with their car.
That is the Master Warning display.
Your long January trip with no issues doesn't mean everything is okay.
You really need to get checked out as while it could be minor it could also be major.
Hopefully it will be minor.
As Lobstah suggested you need to take it to a shop that has a qualified specifically Certified Automotive Diagnostic Technician and get the ECU completely scanned.
