I've noticed the same, more toward the 8 psi.

Remember, TPMS is not a safety system. It is an emission/fuel economy system.

I finally found a GOOD solution to the missing individual tire pressure readouts. Still kind of irked to know the actual sensors in the wheels are the kind that read the actual pressure and don't rely on the ABS system and Mazda just couldn't be bothered to give us a screen where we can see the pressures.

AmazonSmile: Orange Electronic TPMS Mazda 2017,2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 CX-5; 2014,2015,2018,2019, 2020 CX-9 Tire Pressure by Location Display : Automotive - 100 bucks.

Enter the Orange Electronic TPMS monitor. This little device after a quick programming sesh will show you individual tire pressures from the OEM sensors. Just installed and programmed on my 22 Preferred. The picture shows no reading but it comes up pretty quick once you start driving. Programming is simple, deflate tires below 27psi in a certain order one right after the other. It has a mode for rotation as well so you don't have to relearn all 4. They cable they give you is LONG for wherever you want to put it, but I used a short microUSB cable I had laying around and mounted it where I can easily glance at it. Comes with velcro and the USB adapter.

Since many owners don't appear to even check their engine oil level between dealer services I doubt that many owners would be bothered to regularly check their tyre pressures whe3 one low front tyre could severley impair both handling and braking.

As I have been known to drive fairly enthusiastically on occasion I wonder does any member knows the tyre pressure that causes a dash alert as the owners manual has no information about the alert pressure.

I am going to live forever,
So far, so good
I agree. Shame, shame, shame on Mazda. I spent a good half hour looking for TPMS after bringing home my 2022 CX-5. All the nicey, nicey interior materials, fit and finish is great but, Come on Mazda!! No individual tire pressure readout??

I'd actually be interested in this if it didn't look like a kindergarten class crayon project.

Not a huge fan of the swirls myself. But it should be easy enough to make a sticker/label that overlays that part.

Thanks Motochooch. I have placed an order for the monitor. I do have a tyre pressure gauge and have little trust in the accuracy and repeatability of the service station free air gauges. I also suspect that there are very few CX 5 owners that even regularly check engine oil levels let alone tyre pressure.

Heh...
Maybe "Down Under" they don't, but forum users in the USA are generally gear heads.
We check oil and tire pressure weekly, so put that in your "pouch" and smoke it
Warning contents not suitable for all ages or air pressures.

I guess that I can see why you have the forum ID of Lobstah. My comment is not specific to forum members but is a comment about the general community and is directed to the types of owners who think that the current long periods between service intervals mean that they have no need to carry out anything themselves.

I additionally suggest that you read the forum topic on excessive oil consumption with CX 5 turbo engines and count the number forum members that have experienced low oil level warnings.
