Hi all, I’m shopping for a towbar for my 2018 2.2 AWD auto, will a 2013 towbar fit please?
thanks
aiden
I've never heard of anybody flat towing an AWD rather than 4wd vehicle successfully. How do you plan to disengage the driveline to avoid destroying your transmission?

If you are towing a caravan (a camper in US as Grouch posted), then you are talking about a trailer hitch/receiver, not a tow bar.
A tow bar is something attached to a vehicle so it can be towed behind another vehicle.
TOW BAR
A caravan/camper or any trailer already has the towing tongue mechanism built in.
That said it depends on which brand you have as some will fit 2013 & 2018 and some won't.
Best to check your brands website on fitment.
The Mazda CX-5 can't tow a lot of weight (depending on engine 2,000 - 3,500lbs or 907 to 1587 kilos) so make sure your caravan is withing those limits
This is a CX-5 forum section. Are you towing a Caravan with your CX-5? Where are you located? If you're in Britain, you need to say so. Britain and the U.S. are separated by a common language. Here, a Caravan is a Dodge minivan. In Britain, it's what we in the U.S. call a camper.
If you mean the thing in back to tow with, that is a hitch receiver. You can get either a Class II or Class III receiver. I looked one up on Ebay for my 2016 and the part will fit 2013 to 2023 models.
