Default Tire noise?

Our 2022 CX5 has 30000 miles, and as the mileage has increased, the road noise has gotten louder. The dealer says there’s nothing wrong, but it seems quite loud to me. The noise does not change when the tires are rotated. Have any other CX5 owners experienced increasing tire noise, or problems with wheel bearings?

I noticed that my girlfriend's '21 Touring model OEM tires have gotten louder as they've worn out. We're getting them replaced in a couple of days since they're essentially starting to reveal the wear bars. We're trying out Supermax HT-1 tires from Walmart. Altogether with a $10 promo code I only paid $289 for 4 tires. Installation should be like $80 so under $375 altogether.

I am going to assume you have the Toyo A36's? If so at 30k you are likely at end of life. They only have a 300 tread wear rating.

Tire noise is subjective without physically hearing what you are experiencing. But some tires when they wear even what seems like low mileage tend to become harder and will give greater road noise. basically, it is time for a new set of tires.
I do recommend that if road noise is the top concern, then shop for tire that reviews from professionally done road test (not consumers) rate the tire noise.

Stock tires are not very good and as with most tires the noise gets louder the more miles you put on them.
When I changed mine out at 27K and replaced with better tires (Pirelli Scorpion AS+3) the road noise was significantly lower.
I did not keep the figures, but my decibel meter showed a reduction of near 50%.
Even my wife who rarely notices things like this (hearing issues), commented on how quite the ride was.
This was my experience I'm not suggesting you would have the same outcome.
As Cali said, do the research and choose the tire you best feel suits your needs.
Happy motoring.

A little bit of a tangent but if you are looking for tires and want to save a couple bucks, I have had surprisingly good success with used tires over the last 7-8 years.

I’ve been able to get top-rates tires for much less than the least expensive new tires cost with usually 80% of the tread life left. I’m in NJ and buy from a place in PA near Pittsburgh. They ship free and usually arrive within 2 days. My local shop mounts and balances them for $25/tire. I just put 4 Goodyears on our minivan - all-in for less than $370. When new the tread depth was 11/32 and what I got was 9/32.

There is a reason why used tires are sop cheap. If you own a Mazda that is still under 100k miles and manufactured from 2016 and new I highly recommend NOT to buy used tires!
Every customer that we had issues with that were minor seemed to always be tracked to the purchase of used tires.

Buying used tires may have worked in the past but on new desi8gned platforms they don't work well.

I agree. There's no point when you can get a great price on new ones. For my girlfriend's 2021 Touring I paid $290 for 4 tires + $68 for installation today at Walmart...
