Default Throttle Body cleaning

I have a 2016 CX-5 with 65k miles and want to clean the throttle body for the first time. Can I reuse the gasket or should it be replaced? Is it paper or a rubber o-ring type?

It specialized TB seal and yes as long as you don't damage it or use chemical cleaners on it. I do recommend cleaning it with actually an interior leather conditioner. DO NOT USE WD-40 or the like as that is a solvent and may damage the seal. If you don't have leather treatment, then use dish washing liquid.

Make sure that you use 2 types of cleaners. On the electrical connection use only Electrical Parts Cleaner or better would be Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaner. On the actual metal parts of the throttle body use only Throttle Body and Air-Intake Cleaner. Yes they are expensive but then so is your Throttle body.

If you use anything else, then what I am recommending you stand a good chance damaging your throttle body.
