2015 CX-5 with 32K Miles... driving normally, then vehicle lost power—info screen says Engine Inspection Required, then Transmission Inspection Required, then TPMS Inspection Required, then SCBS Inspection Required... then repeats...
OBD shows U0101 8 times plus myriad others—dealership says new transmission—TCM replacement now cost-effective... $4K for used trans, $7K for new...
anyone have similar experience or can offer guidance/advice? Not looking forward to this financial outlay...

If memory serves, that transmission is a Tramco unit Mazda purchased from Nissan.
Not a high quality unit. You could check with a couple of transmission shops, particularly
if they do Asian vehicles. You might get a better deal.
