2) I posted how and why it could and likely happens. It was deleted and you responded to it with nonsense!
3) vehicle's get hit with rock and pebbles debris, etc., all the time and most always the driver never knows until looking at the vehicle.
4) looking at the total number of reports of broken sunroof in actuality there is less then claims of defective OEM tires.
5) No one has a warranty replaced sunroof directly from an auto manufacture that on the claim indicates defect that I can find anywhere.

Do what I do, use the forum ignore feature. Yes, you will miss out on many enlightened posts, but you know what? I don’t think I’ve miss out on anything worthwhile.
So if a member on ignore list called another member that had that member on ignore would never know if they were called any derogatory name for going off topic and trolling a thread to start trouble which is I believe really moderated against a member that post on topic information?
Interesting that tier are members always grouping together problem when there is a member that post against the crown mentality and their belief system that generally is really against logic and real verifiable information?
Well I guess time will tell and perhaps eventually we all will know the truth and REAL FACTS about sun roof breakage! I personally look forward to that.
Oh and here is the thing to date as far as the legal information I have as well breakage reports that not one person that had a sunroof replaced because of mystery breakage with the exact OEM glass had a reoccurrence of breakage again? So riddle me that batman ! LOL
As always I don't spend my time looking totality into such things so if there are a few, hundred, dozen , 1/2 dozen , how a couple that have please post the information up so I know not to say never about lightning striking 2 times in the same place so to say. LOL
2020 CX-5 - The sunroof glass suddenly exploded for no known reason while driving 45 mph on a sunny day. It was 55 degrees outside. When it happened I thought one of the tires blew up as it makes a sound like a bomb going off! It was quite scary.
I've opened a case with Mazda Corporation to try and get my $500. deductible reimbursed since this is a manufacturing defect.
Has this happened to anyone else? Thought you should all beware..
There is always a possibility of a defect with any part failure. But in this case of a very small number of failed sunroofs, it would seem there is less proof of a defect that can be proven empirically and more as many insurance companies call it an ACT OF GOD damage? Naturally when it happens to you (not you specifically but generally speaking) you will tend to rally support from others.
But chick19 as you seem to imply having some information that may be supportive fact based about the glass composition or engineering design of the mounting area on the various models and other platforms other than MAZDA, please don't hold back I would love to read the information!

It just happened to me too. Driving down the interstate. Just exploded. Nothing even close to us. Driving a 2021 CX 5. Taking to the Mazda dealership in the morning to see if they can help. Fingers crossed. You can see the upward direction of the explosion. You can see the upward direction of the explosion.
