What do CX-5 owners here use to periodically "polish" the paint? Paint depth readings on my new CX-5 are super thin at less than 75 microns. The roof measures as low at 56 microns!!
My standby polish with prior vehicles was HD Polish (no longer sold). Is Sonax Perfect Finish with a finishing pad too aggressive to use?

Thanks to the super thin paint, I will have to clean out my garage to make room for the CX-5. Our Acura has readings in the range of 105-120.

Just curious, how do you measure the thickness of the paint?

I had to look these up as I wanted to know exactly how they work. Now I know. Not an inexpensive piece of equipment!

If you like to polish periodically with a vehicle that has super thin paint, it is not too expensive these days. Less than 100 dollars for a simple one...just make sure it comes with calibrating shims.
Clearcoat failure is much more expensive.
