Roof Rack Mounting Points
Hey all,
I have a 2015 AWD CX5 and was wondering whether I could use the roof rack mounting points to fabricate a bracket to hold a tarp or similar when camping. I believe they are an M6 thread so instead of buying roof racks and a an awning which will set me back around $600 minimum, I thought I could just use the holes and make some brackets to take a tarp to come off the side like an awning. Is there any issue doing this?
