Rear Brakes worn with under 13,000 miles....
It was on my most of my sportbikes and tires even sooner...
And that's not even counting my track bikes.
Back in the day I had brand new pads fail on my Corvette in less than a week.
That was defective pads though I believe the mechanic should've seen there was an issue when he installed them.
I got my money back and upgraded to performance calipers, pads, rotors and fluid.

There has not really been confirmed number actually reported so what is "normal" in this case?
This has been reported by several member and those same members on various Mazda forums so how can anyone get a clear idea of how many?
There really are way to many variables that could have cause that number and without looking at each one individually and then see if there are any common factors its just another mileage number someone started on forums.
It honestly to early to make speculation assumptions or guesses.

You are off topic chickdr!!! Trolling is now being watched by the moderator.
As of today we just took in 2 vehicles in for service that were under 20,000 miles one of them rear pads were worn down to 1mm. One was a Chevy the other Nissan. One the year placed out of warranty the other the dealer would not replace for free and we were about 1/2 the cost from dealer estimate. One of them we could tell that it was driver braking and steering habits. The front outside tread was really worn but checking alignment proved within spec's.
So it can and does happen not just to Mazda's...Rear Brakes worn with under 13,000 miles....
