All the song titles are truncated, limited to about 16 characters even thou the screen has plenty of width for more characters ! Is there a setting to allow for more characters ?

I would says it's governed by the music company or the radio stations.

 

I tested your theory, I viewed the same song title on my Sirius radio in my Mazda CX 5 and my VW Passat at the same time and only my Mazda display screen chops off the title of the song and most of the time in the middle of a word ! My VW display screen is about the same size !

Spoke to Mazda corporate - they said they are aware of the problem !

 

Well its August 2020 and the display is still limited to 16 characters. I just upgraded our 2017 Mazda 3 to the latest software version (70.00.367A NA N) and was unhappy to see the problem still exists.

 

Unfortunately seems to be a limitation of the infotainment software and has not been addressed for a long time. Same issue when you play songs from the USB drive.
