Permanently deactivating 2023 radar cruise control
All I want is a Carbon Turbo CX-5 with red leather, with a heated steering wheel and without MRCC. Actually if you can source this in both the CX-5 and a CX-30 I'll order both. There's $1000 for each car for you if you can do this.
What I'd REALLY like is one of these without any of the advanced driver aids. Just the chassis control features like antilock brakes and yaw correction, plus basic cruise control. Please get back. So excited about this and I thank you so much for letting me know you can do this!!

As I stated in my initial post, it's because I want to. I actually enjoy driving cars. And I mean "driving" it, not just sitting behind the wheel as a passenger. There are some features that I like, like basic cruise control. It's nice on the highway, especially on long drives, to maintain a set speed and give my foot a break. But in most other conditions I prefer to drive the car. There are many people like this. Have you ever gone on a performance enthusiast car site and asked them why they might prefer driving a stick? If you have to ask "why" then you'll just never understand. I'm going to guess that's something you wouldn't want to do yourself. I understand there are people who are annoyed by the "task" of driving and would rather everything was automated. Then they could play on their PED instead. I'm not one of those.
After over 50 years of driving and close to a million miles, I can say that I've never caused an accident. And that I've prevented hundreds by defensive driving, and in 1 case even by grabbing the steering wheel, from the passenger seat, and averting one. For me, disabling the MRCC isn't a safety issue. It sounds like it may be for you.

I did research Mazda build ordering, and they are not as accommodating as other manufacturers in their builds.
A real Mainer would just remove what they didn't want with a hammer and some Vise-grips and duct tape the rest.
I have no English language annunciation issues.
If you are a true Mainer, I'm sure you are well aware the Maine accent and spelling (Lobstah) is something we use only around outta-staters.
When passing through the Linda Bean's tourist trap of Freeport, I go to the first modern day and real Maine beer pub, Gritty's.
But I'm rarely there unless avoiding 295, as I haven't gone into LL Beans since they became a clothing boutique back in the late 70's.
When they regulated their hunting and fishing gear to an outbuilding.
You sound like my whining grandfather when automatic transmissions and seatbelts came out, he hated both.
But amazingly his last new car a 1963 Dodge Dart GT had a dash push button auto which he found amazing.
You already have the ability to turn off your MRCC but like many folks now-a-days, Mainers included, would rather complain then press a button.
I never use cruise control or my AC, not pressing a button is even easier than pressing one.
If you were a true Mainer, you know I'd never take any money for not doing any work.
Unless I lived in Washington county or some places in Aroostock where it's standard practice.
And we all know a real working Mainer ($68K income average) couldn't afford to purchase two new vehicles.
Unless of course you are lobster person then you'd already have a $80K pick-up $250K boat and $500K minimum house.
And complain daily about how much bait costs and how bad the fishing is

I am not sure did I ever tell you that i was born in Bangor?
But after birth family transferred to Michigan, then Arizona, then New Mexico , then Guam, then back to CA all before I turn 12.
However anyone I physically or on the phone talk to seems to know I am from CA??? LOL
Now my mother was from Boston and we use to make fun of how she said "Fork" the "R" seemed to be silent .... LOL

I see, so you can't order as you wish after all. Very strange method of saying that though. Instead of an apology you berate me, the brewery I'm at (where I've invited you to join me for a beer), the businesses nearby, and even the whole town of Freeport. Plus anyone who isn't a "true Mainer". True Mainers can't afford 2 cars? There's an infamous TV personality that would give this same type of response! Are people who aren't "true" Mainers vermin perhaps?
Admitting my error would suffice for most but here you go...I will apologize for the fact that Mazda is not as accommodating as other manufacturers.
As for Freeport, I was simply stating fact that it is not the same town that Leon Leonwood Bean created his company in or even that of his grandson Leon Gorman.
It's like every other Maine costal town, in that they cater to the tourist industry not the locals.
You also know full well the majority of Mainers cannot afford two new cars, which is what you were asking about a new CX-5 and CX-30.
While many may have 2 cars only one of them will likely be "fairly" new but mostly likely they'll both be used and at least 3-10 years old.
They will of course also have a beater pick-up/plow truck, 4x4 wheeler, snowmobile, boat and camper of various years, makes and state of decay.
As for Maine Beer I visited them way back when they first started in Portland. They make good beer, but of the two I prefer Gritty's and you didn't say you were buying

In fact, I had been to every brewpub in Maine, over 65 of them at one time not sure how many now having to give up riding a motorcycle I no longer do my brewpub rides.
And for safety reasons I only had a single beer with lunch on each of those pub visits.
The TV personalities that started the "Downeast" humor, weren't born and didn't even live in Maine.
And every one of them except maybe Bob Marley, puts on the accent.
To be a real Mainer, like any other geographical place, you have to be born here and lived here your entire life.
Everyone else is an outta-stater. While we Mainers hang many names on them "vermin" isn't one I've ever heard.
But then I don't live in Freeport.

Dow Air Force base kid no doubt.
Your father's Air Force experience must have been into the B-52 bombers or support aircraft.
The "Boston" accent is more pronounced than the Maine accent which is really only strong in a few fishing communities but it's dying out.
My wife, being brought up in one of those villages, has a strong one, but my son and I don't have it at all.
And my mother's parents were from Vinalhaven which is well known for it.
But they were a librarian and a lawyer and escaped the accent.
Bringing up fork is funny. My wife asked for a clean fork in Wyoming restaurant back in the day.
They thought she said something that began with "F" and didn't know how to respond, I had to interject and explain.
