Default Permanent auto hold activation

Is it possible on the CX-5>2017 to activate (perhaps by coding) auto-hold and not require activation from the button every trip, but only press the button if you want deactivation?

According to Mazda "no".
Like cruise control, for safety reasons, it's not something that should automatically engage when the vehicle is started.
That said, like everything else electronic, I'm sure there is a way to bypass it.
I suspect your insurance company would frown on that.

Sometimes I do miss rear wheel drive vehicles on the street. I did engineer a drift kit for a FWD BMW but my marketer was against offering it to the public.
I looked at making one for the Mazda 3 but said why???? Sometimes some added "TOY parts " parts are not realistic. The Nitrous is really all I need.
