Default oil change

had the dealer change our oil and tire rotation.

they came back and said the antifreeze looked dark and recommended changing it. this is a 2019 cx5 GT non-turbo at 37500 miles. I said no thanks and got it the anti freeze tested and it checked out ok. I can't tell if it is dark or not because it is dark in the engine but when I looked into the overflow the antifreeze looked ak to me.

anybody else have this happen to them I have a felling it might be the last time I go to dealer.

Another dealer lying to the customer trying to make a few extra bucks...

You may want to double check their work in changing your oil. What oil and what filter did they use? Did you check the oil level after their work?

The dealer where I purchased my two CX-5s offers some free oil changes. With my old CX-5 I stopped going there because of all the additional service they wanted to do. I will do the same thing with my new CX-5 when the freebies runout. They offer great deals on cars, so perhaps they pick up money on service. I just ignore their advice. The small dealer closer to me has better prices for service and when I asked them to check the items the major dealer recommended they said everything was alright.

Yes , I have had this .....give it with one hand and take it with the other scenario at a few dealers - I honestly want a good rapport with at least 1 or 2 dealers in case theres a warranty issue - but over the top ...service reccomendations are just greedy -posdibly Mazdas just dont break down much ....
I went in for my 1st oil change and its almost 3 months old with 3500 miles - I said , please do the 1st service except rotation / and please put on my locking color match lugs - They said all the tires needed to be removed anyway ? I said why ..." To check the pads and rotors " ? ok yeah ...3500 miles, no complaints , pads rotors visible thru rims - ?? fine do it , then after i apparently will need a new cabin filter on the next service $54 - uh - yeah - not - Its near spotless and reaching behind the glove box to change a $20 part ...I think I can handle when its needed - but i just said thanks -
I want to trust the dealer , and luckily there are 10+ within 90 miles - so Im continuing to look for a straight shooting service writer.
