What engine do you have ? I saw a bulletin for the Mazda 2.5 L, where it said specifically use a Mazda oil filter.. I'm NOT suggesting you can't use another brand, I'm just saying if you wanted to use a Mazda oil filter, the bulletin was saying do not use just any Mazda oil filter use one specifically for the 2.5

This falls under the heading of "Over Thinking" things. Regardless of whether you use a Mazda oil filter, a Fram, Wix, Napa, Pure, STP, Champion, K&N, or Mobil1, the longevity of your engine will not change.

If the worst filter (Fram) is the same at preventing engine wear as the best filters (K&N and Mobil-1) then why not just bypass oil filtration all-together since by the logic presented it does nothing to extend engine life anyway! This fly's in the face of automotive engineering and common sense.
