I am to picky about the final look to do an on the car caliper painting...
And if time allows I prefer to Powder-coat or hard anodize instead of rattle or paint brush applications.

LOL I think my Kona Cidar Cone has bigger disc brakes on the rear than your Honda.... rolmao...

For those who don't understand the reference it is my stupidly expensive and very upgraded Mountain Bike. LOL

Painting the caliper off the car IMHO just looks so much better almost like a factory finish?

I remember when the best magazine in the men's bathroom was a Popular Hot-rodding or a J C Whitney Catalog.

For sure, all my sport bikes had larger calipers than most of my cars.
Holy crap...white lettering adds another 15hp per caliper
You know, I don't recall ever purchasing any after-market product from JC Whitney that would actually fit without requiring at least some minor modification first.
Never got one single motorcycle exhaust that was compatible without major changes and yet I still bought a whole lot of stuff from them.
But that was back when I also ordered from Campmor, Bass Pro Shops, Drag Specialties and Crutchfield catalogs.
My god, I am an old geezer...

Sport mirrors passenger and drivers side (most cars only came with driver side mirrors back then), SUN original Tachometer, trio chrome gauge set, chrome amp gauge(never could understand back then why I got that) , some off brand hedder you had to beat with a hammer to clear engine compartment parts to mount them(LOL) 10 inch foam steering wheel, seat covers and floor mats, prism reflective rainbow tape and the column shift to floor universal shifter kit.. This was all mostly when I first started to be a car "NUT" and before I even had a drivers license. I bet if I look around I still have a few things from decades ago. ha!

Kilmer is annoying as heck. At least he understands putting an oiled k&n inside a direct injection engine will just cover your maf and map with oil particulate and increase gunk on the intake valves. But ya you get that "extra horsepower" (lol) that popular mechanics proved was false years ago.

WRONG!!!!!
If the hairballs that cant read how to use a K&N would just take a few moments and read instead of thinking cave man "I AM DIY I KNOW " hahahaha, you would understand that that BS that started was from incorrectly servicing a K&N air filter.
Please note that not only have I used a OEM K&N replacement but later switched and now run a CONE K&N air filter and have on several posting shown the CORRECT way to service a K&N air Filter!
I also want to point out that YUP I get a bit assertive when it comes to incorrect information, but I have used K&N product for over 40 years I have been a distributor and retailer for K&N, I have installed countless K&N air filters on virtually everything that needs filtered air, car truck motorcycle airplanes, compressors air pumps etc, and on DI (Direct Injected) engine specifically . NEVER, I repeat NEVER had a DTC caused from incorrectly installing or servicing a K&N Air Filter! EVER!

READ THE INSTALATION AND SERVICNG INSTRUCTION AND/OR MANUALS OR SERVICE ADVISORIES for parts you use and follow them. This goes with just about anything including OEM replacement parts. Don't assume you know-it-all, don't assume that just because you found a youtube video it is empirical information! Generally, those how-to are short cuts on a service procedure or have incorrect and often missing important information about the servicing procedures.

Below is replacing the OEM air filter with a K&N and later the cone K&N air filter.
If you look through out my thread there are a few times showing the servicing of the air filters as well the MAP, IAT sensors that were actually clean even after several thousand miles of service using the K&N air filter!

Oiled K&N are straight trash. I had one for about a year in a CTS 3.6 and it did nothing but damage. You are of course welcome to use and install and have all the fun you want!
