New Ride
Hey Everyone, new to the Mazda family. I've built Hondas, Fords, Rams, and go carts, jack of most trades, master of none.
As I'm my friends go to garage/backyard mechanic, I was gifted a 2013 CX-5 AWD, that had a nice hole punched in the radiator from rear ending a truck with a hitch. Got the headlights removed, most of the trim and bumper removed (WHY SO MANY CLIPS???) and noticed the subframe (I think it's the subframe, attaches to the frame with 4 bolts on each side) was bent. Insurance quoted her $1800 to fix but she isn't a big fan of it since it isn't a pickup truck.
Anyway... my question is, should I be checking anything out while I have it taken apart? also, are there any common problems/things to know about this car? Any info would be a huge help. My last new(est) car was a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500, and that thing is crazy simple to work on.

Yeah, I'll be checking for head gasket leaks from overheating. I have quickly started it, sounds fine (obviously it was still cold since it only ran for a few seconds.) Thanks reaper
