First - I purchased a SD card on Ebay for my 2023 CX-9 for roughly $40. Installation is very simple and navigation works as well as any OEM I have used. I updated the card in January using Mazda Toolbox, no problems, I attempted another update a few days ago but the new Mazda update program refused saying it does not recognize the SD card and to contact Mazda. I have no intention of attempting another update.
Second - I recently drove from Minneapolis to Asheville, NC. The navigation routed me through Chicago which I avoid like the plague. To avoid this I broke the route down in Google; Minneapolis to Bloomington, IL; Bloomington, IL to Indianapolis; then Indy to Asheville NC.
I would like to be able to route this way using Mazda navigation but I can't get it to route to a city, it always wants an address.
* Does anyone know of a way to get city to city routing using the Mazda navigation? *

 

In the few times I've used the Mazda navigation, I only see putting an address as an option. I use Carplay anyways and got the navigation SD card for like $50 from Amazon as a backup option.
