Default Navigation Screen

About a year after I first bought my 2017 Mazda CS-5 Touring, I cleaned my navigation screen by spraying a screen cleaner on it. That ruined the screen. What I want to know is if there is a way to fix this or can I have the screen replaced by someone other than the Mazda Dealership which would cost an all and a leg? Can I purchase a new monitor screen somewhere other than Mazda?

I think we should be made aware when we purchased our Mazda that we can't put anything on the screen to clean it.

Thanks!!!!

I use glass clean, computer and TV screen cleaner on a few of my vehicles including my 2018 Mazda?
If you used a "screen cleaner" and properly followed the direction you should not have damaged the screen?
Mazda as well other auto manufactures can't give warning for every possible cleaning product used and the users should read and follow the direction for use of any cleaning product the use as well the warnings and cautions on that direction for use.
There are several on line retailers that you can get a replacement screen, and it takes a average experienced mechanic about 1.5 hours to change it. It is labor timed at 1 hour with the correct plastic and common tools.

First of all, you never spray any liquid on any electronic screen.
You spray it on a good quality microfiber cloth and use the cloth to clean and another to dry.
As Callisto said if you used a good screen cleaner (they are alcohol free) it should not have done anything to your screen (except you admitting you sprayed it directly on the screen).
Most "glass cleaners" contain alcohol and are not meant for cleaning any of today's modern electronic screens.
Also never use paper towels they are actually not much different than super fine sandpaper.

Dealer cost for the repair kit ranges from $240- $300.
You can purchase the 7" screen itself at various places online for under $100.
They are not difficult to replace and don't take all that much time to do, normally less than an hour.
No way it should cost you an arm and a leg at any competent shop.
Though you will need to find a shop who will install the parts you purchase.
Generally speaking, most shops will not have an issue installing a customer purchased non-safety part.
