MyMazda vs MazdaMobileStart
What are the differences between the MyMazda app and the MazdaMobileStart app. I just picked up my 2021 CX-5 and installed the MyMazda app. I was able to start and stop the car a few times (although there were several where I got an error message).
It looks like the MazdaMobileStart app requires some type of an annual subscription? Why is there a cost for this one where the MyMazda app looks like it's free (as far as I can tell).

Congrats on the car, very nice..
I am a Mazda man and well known in other Mazda forums as ASH8, I like helping Mazda Owners and have worked in Mazda Wholesale and retail for decades (Service and Parts).
And personally own 2 Mazda's MX-5 and RX-8, even talked my neighbour into a CX-3...he loves it,
Rather than post here I will start my own thread as I have a long Mazda Connected Services FAQ, hopefully I can do it now as I have not posted here in a long time.
Anyway for you, if your Mazda is the latest 2021 CX-5 (Mazda changed to the latest Mazda 3 and CX-30 Infotainment for 2021 MY like your CX-5) then you should ONLY use the MyMazda App version 6 or Higher.
This MyMazda App does everything and there is a long process, I am surprised that the old MMS App worked at all?
Can you do me a favour and go to your Home Screen and go to
SYSTEM
System Setting
Version Information
Packaged Number (I think I got all that right.
And can you please tell me the package number in your car.. it will be 11024 or similar.

Only use the MyMazda App,

There is a reason why I have not posted since 2007 is becasue of Mods and a silly approval systems..
