Has anybody heard any spec's on the new engine like HP, Torque and Turbo? All I've gathered is it will be similar to BMW's straight six which is an awesome powerful engine.

 

I don't think anything has been released as of yet about the power numbers. I am not betting on it matching BMW's 3.0T outputs as Mazda does not have a track record of producing high output motors (they seem to be more about a blend of efficiency and power). The most powerful things they have done are the FD RX-7's rotary and the Mazdaspeed 3 and 6 which had a 2.3T with more HP than the current 2.5T.

 

I knew Mazda wasn't going to match the BMW powertrain, but I did read where it would me similar. Mazda does seem to have that German flair when it come to exterior style and interior quality. Perhaps they'll become the Asian BMW with long term reliability. Wouldn't that be nice.
