Mazda Fault Code P06de
I am just looking for some advice after having some trouble with my 2014 CX-5.
It has 151,000 miles clocked and recently started showing the “Low oil pressure” message. It would come on and off intermittently over the course of a week. However, it seemed to be running absolutely fine with no noticeable sounds or smells, until it went into limp mode after driving back from Gatwick where it had been sat in the long stay parking during the heatwave of Tuesday and Wednesday. I pulled over, gave it a rest and then it drove fine once again.
I took it to a dealership and they found the fault code p06de and quoted over £4,000 worth of work, although in the video they sent me they didn’t note any visual problems under the bonnet (just filmed a close up of some worn brake pads).
I definitely don’t want to sink that kind of money into the car at this point. I’ve since flushed the engine and changed the oil and oil filter and the car has been driving round all day with no lights and feels great.
Wondering what to do now. Shall I aim to keep using it, driving it carefully and changing the oil more regularly? Or perhaps sell it with the recent history/problems we’ll advertised? Scrap it?
Does the fault code mean that it’s failure is imminent? Has anyone else had the same fault code and continued to drive and maintain their car?
Thanks for any help in advance.

The fault code means that the oil pressure control circuit is stuck on. That could be due to a faulty oil pressure sensor. No idea of the replacement cost, although four grand seems high for just a sensor. The problem could be deeper, as in the PCM.

From my vast experience with Mazda's SH diesel engines, that fault code is often terminal.
You can drop the sump, remove the rocker cover, clean out all the carbon build up, r&r oil pick up and hope for the best.
